There are other threats to the freedoms and security of America than just terrorism. Climate change is a global threat that has endangered species and environmental habitats worldwide. With catastrophic consequences for Americans on the horizon if no action is taken, DFA members have been at the forefront calling for worldwide change.

DFA members have fought for conservation policies in local communities.  We have worked together to reduce the use of household electricity by replacing light bulbs and conserving energy. We have increased education on the risks and the solution with screenings of green documentaries like Kilowatt Ours and An Inconvenient Truth.

In 2007, Democracy for America became the first carbon neutral political action committee and our member chose to invest carbon offsets into windfarms and alternative energy resources.
