My personal volunteering highlight:

I have the only local progressive talk show on Anchorage radio. I am currently working on an ordinance to grant protection to the GLBT community. It's devastatingly hateful opposition, and my blog is a constant connection.

More about my volunteering with DFA:

I am part of several "think tanks" for AK. I have worked closely with CAP on the Alaskan front. I am in contact daily with Democratic leadership in Juneau.

More about my volunteering with progressive organizations:

I am a board member of Cook Inlet Keepers. One of the largest waterway protection orgs in the country. Democratic Party volunteer. Activist against large scale mining.

What motivates me:

I believe one person can make a difference. I have won a few and lost a few, but I know truth prevails.

How I try to motivate others:

I have a radio show, I write, I listen.

Where I see myself in five years:

Media active via radio and writing.
